Australia issues preliminary anti-dumping and countervailing duty rulings on aluminum doors and windows from China

On October 14, 2026, the Australian Trade Relief Commission issued Notice No. 2026/147, reaching a preliminary affirmative anti-dumping decision regarding aluminium windows and doors imported from China. It was decided that, starting from October 15, 2026, temporary anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties would be imposed in the form of guarantees. The details are as follows: Altop Facade Co., Ltd., the exporter, faced no temporary anti-dumping or countervailing duties; Broad Windows and Doors and Curtain Wall System Co., Ltd. had a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 24.4% with no countervailing duty; Guangdong Kete Facadetech Co., Ltd. had a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 12.1% and no countervailing duty; Zhuhai Yipeng Technology Co., Ltd. had a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 51.6% with no countervailing duty; Foshan AMJ Windows and Doors Co., Ltd. had a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 5.3% with no countervailing duty; Yuanjiang Facade Co Ltd had a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 34.8% with no countervailing duty. Other exporters who responded to the investigation also faced a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 24.4% with no countervailing duty, while those who did not cooperate or all other exporters faced a temporary anti-dumping duty rate of 70.4% and a countervailing duty rate of 2.9%. This case concerns products falling under Australian customs code 7610.10.00.12.On November 25, 2025, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/115, stating that, at the request of the Australian company Ventora Group Pty Ltd and the industry association Australian Glass and Window Association, an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation would be launched against aluminum doors and windows imported from China.

Total investment exceeds 10 billion! Two large aluminum electrolysis plants in Indonesia are now in operation

According to foreign media reports, the construction of two aluminum electrolysis plants in the Widabaya Industrial Park in Indonesia has officially begun, marking an acceleration in the development of aluminum production capabilities abroad. The total investment in this project exceeds 10 billion dollars, and it is a key part of Indonesia’s strategy to develop downstream industries based on its mineral resources.Two aluminum plants have been established in the Weidabei Industrial Park, which was developed by the domestic Qingshan Group. Leveraging the abundant bauxite resources available in the area, the plants are equipped with their own energy sources to ensure uninterrupted production; once completed, they will add significant capacity for aluminum electrolysis, with this capacity being released in phases as planned.The implementation of this project is in line with Indonesia’s strategy for the deeper processing of mineral resources. Indonesia has introduced policies to restrict the direct export of bauxite ore, and it is actively promoting the local production of alumina and aluminum through electrolysis, in order to extend the value chain of these minerals and enhance the country’s position in the global non-ferrous metal supply chain. The launch of the two aluminum electrolysis projects in Widabaya is a key project under this industrial policy, and it will further strengthen Indonesia’s domestic aluminum processing industry.
